Frances Jenkins, MA BA (Hons.)
Frances has been a piano and vocal teacher in Cardiff for 10 years. In that time she has nurtured her students to achieve a 100% practical exam pass record for the ABRSM classical and jazz piano syllabuses. Frances also takes responsibility for the majority of music theory students at Taffs Well Music Studio. She has achieved a Grade 8 ABRSM classical piano but this is also complimented by a BA (Hons.) Popular Music. Whilst at the University of Glamorgan Student Voice Representative scholarship. Frances is also a member of the Creative Industries Development Scheme at the University of South Wales.
Frances is also an accomplished classical and popular singer and vocal trainer, a former member of the BBC Wales National Chorus and is also a voice over artist. Frances also enjoys composition for media, blues improvisation, performing the works of Beethoven, Bach, Debussy and Grieg.
Frances has recently completed an MA in Communication, Media Practice and Public Relations, Swansea University for which she received a fully funded scholarship and bursary. She is also a campaigner for media transparency, the grass-roots music industry, the environment and social justice and has appeared on television and radio many times. She is also a writer of poetry, lyrics, fiction, academic papers, and copy for websites and other forms of media.
Benjamin has been a guitar teacher in Cardiff for 4 years. In that time his students have achieved 100% pass records in the Rockschool syllabus which is a popular choice for aspiring artists. He teaches both classical and popular styles on both electric and acoustic guitars. Ben can also teach bass guitar.
Ben is also an accomplished music producer having worked on many different projects. His current persona is Novacoda, and his work is often played on national radio. He has composed media for local radio, television and the internet. As Y Chrome he performed his DJ set at many festivals across the UK. His innovative style has generated critical acclaim.
Ben is able to train students in the arts of sound engineering and live recording. He has attended many music software training courses, most recently attending the Academi Max MSP course at the University of South Wales and is also a continuing member of the Creative Industries Development Scheme. He is also close to completing the Foundation Degree in Music Industry Entrepreneurship and has a certificate of higher education from the University of Glamorgan in Popular Music.
